Workshop on Employability Skills
Thar Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (TIEST) recently organized a two-day workshop on employability skills for final year students and faculty members from the CS, IT, and Civil Engineering departments. The workshop, held on 6th and 7th July 2023. The workshop aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to enhance their employability and succeed in their professional careers.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Najeeb US Saqlain, an esteemed Associate Professor from the Department of English Linguistics and Allied Studies (ELAS), NED University Karachi. With his expertise and experience, Dr. Saqlain provided valuable insights and practical guidance on crucial areas such as CV writing, preparing for job interviews, effective presentation skills, and public speaking.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members who actively engaged in various interactive sessions, group activities, and informative discussions. The attendees benefited from the comprehensive knowledge of Mr. Saqlain, enabling them to develop a competitive edge in the job market and improve their career prospects.
